Your nervous system’s number one job is to keep you alive. Your body is constantly scanning for cues of safety or danger. When cues of safety prevail, you are capable of higher levels of thinking, creativity, joy, play, rest, and deep connection.
When cues of danger outweigh your cues of safety, your nervous system shifts into a state of defense. In this state, you may feel scared, overwhelmed, hypervigilant, defensive, shut down, or unable to think, feel or act.
We can’t simply talk or think our way to safety. Safety is an embodied experience. By learning how to listen to your body and befriend sensations, you can begin to support your nervous system in restoring safety and releasing stress, anxiety and trauma.

For much of my life, I felt stuck physically, emotionally, and energetically – trapped in a trauma loop that left me anxious, overwhelmed, depleted, and numb. Out of necessity, I learned about trauma’s neurobiological impact on the body and mind and discovered somatic practices that allowed me to heal, prosper, and thrive. I was able to break free from crippling anxiety, completely reverse a panic disorder diagnosis, and take back control of my life.
Today, I help people reclaim their mind-body health and alchemize trauma into resilience and healing using the Primal Alchemy Method.
