Calming Lavender Tea Latte

Soothe your mind and body with this delicious lavender tea latte recipe created by my dear friend Elise Museles, chef, author, certified eating psychology coach, and founder of Kale & Chocolate. The combination of steeping the culinary lavender in coconut milk creates a subtle tea that will provide a break in the day to reconnect back to yourself. Enjoy whenever you need a relaxing moment to sip, sit, and savor!

* Serves 1


1¼ cups coconut milk (almond and cashew milk work well, too!)
2 teaspoons culinary lavender (available at Wholefoods or you can buy online at retailers like Amazon)
splash of vanilla
2 teaspoons raw honey (or sweetener of choice to taste)
Pinch of salt
2 teaspoons coconut oil (for maximum nutrient absorption)

NOTE: Add a Medjool date to the blending process in place of honey, if preferred.

¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon fresh ginger


Add coconut milk to a small pot. Heat until warmed through. Turn off the heat and add the culinary lavender to the pot. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Pour the liquid through a fine mesh strainer. In a blender, add the lavender-infused nut milk, honey (or sweetener of choice), vanilla, and pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Return to the pot and gently heat, making sure not to boil. Once heated through, mix in the coconut oil and whisk. Add additional sweetener if desired. Pour into a mug for a relaxing experience!
