"The right way to wholeness is made up of fateful detours and wrong turnings" -C.G. Jung
I have made more wrong turns than I can count in my life. At every wrong turn, I would beat myself up and bury myself in a thick blanket of shame. Abuse and trauma will do that to you. Trauma will make you believe the lie that you are broken.
But you are not broken dear ones. Your scars only make you more beautiful. They weave a tapestry that tells the story of your strength, resiliency and courage.
And you are still here.
Even when you feel your world has ended and you have been chopped at the knees.
You are still here.
You may not be standing yet. But you are breathing. And breathing means you are alive. Breathing means that you can feel and feeling means that you can heal.
It will take work. It will take courage. It will take brutal honesty. It will take commitment. It will take heart. It will take a a devout willingness to face the dark primitive parts of yourself that have kept you trapped.
It will feel like you are dying, but you are being reborn.
The truth is there are no wrong turns. They were the right turns if you allow them to lead you to greater compassion, empathy, understanding and growth.
Trust in the journey and know that you get to decide your destination.
